Despite the holidays and the rain, in turn with a lot of sun, some twenty interested people have experienced an afternoon rehearsal with Beatrix’. Of course there was time for the guests to play along with the Beatrix’ members. At the end of the rehearsal the guests and members witnessed the announcement of Beatrix’ Drum & Bugle Corps’ 2011 program.
This was the first time Beatrix’ hosted an open rehearsal where the corps really worked on the program. This brought up some response, because visitors were now able to witness how hard the members really work. Luckily this didn’t have a frightening effect and everyone had a chance to see how drumcorps is done.
Before the final run of the show a full warm-up started with everyone who wanted to play along. After a short explanation some basic exercises were played and everyone found out how short half an hour is. We have enjoyed it and we will organize more open days. The next one is on October 16th 2010 at our corps hall.
